TIMELINE THOMPSON
1961
Begin with passion
Thompson's long and successful business journey began in 1961 when Mr. Komson Opassathavorn, a diligent young man from a jeweller family, started his career as a salesman in a famous jewelry shop in Bangkok. He was beloved among his colleague and clients because of his good nature and sincerity.
1965 - 1969
Pave the way
With a deep passion for fine jewelry , Mr. Komson established a jewelry boutique along Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, named Thompson's Jewelry.
Thompson’s Jewelry was known for its excellent quality and fine craftmanship among locals, expats, tourists, as well as notable families and royal families. One of our pride is that we were entrusted to craft nearly a thousand unique designs for Kraisingh Wutthichai, M.C., the notable royal family fashion and jewelry designer, for nearly a decade until his passing., By 1969, the company boldly showcased at the International Trade Fair for the 1st time in Berlin, marking a pivotal moment in entering the international stage and enhancing its reputation for unparalleled products.
1970 - 1991
A Flourishing Success
Entering the international market, Thompson continuously participated in international and local trade fairs. Our products were widely accepted by well-known international retailers and chain stores. Following a successful journey, in 1991, we relocated our office to the current location, setting the stage for further expansion.
2001
A New Milestone
Thompson marked a new milestone by opening the Thompson Building in the heart of Sukhumvit Road, near Asok. Such strategic location facilitated the expansion of the export office and introduced the new flagship boutique, featuring offerings that attract both local urban shoppers and tourists.
